My New Ride

Finally, I am now being driven in something with a little leg room.
<-- (see picture on left and others after this entry)

My chauffeur, Sarah, recently went in search of a new vehicle to drive me around in. My instructions were to get a car with cat friendly features such as catnip lined seats (scratching posts), moon roof for viewing migrating geese, foam bouncy balls hanging from mirror, and built in litter box with flat panel TV.

My driver sent these pictures of the thing she acquired. It is a 2006 Honda CR-V. The dealer in Houston would not take any form of dead bugs or lizards, so I had to pay in human cash.

I hope I like it. She says it is nice and will allow us to drive in snow even. I am not sure anyone should be out in snow, as it is cold to the paws, then wet.

I am still having fun here in Missouri with Toto and Elmo.
See you all soon! Happy New Year.

Stranded in Missouri

Meowy Christmas!

I was dropped off in Joplin, MO to spend the holidays with my cousin Elmo and my big brother, Toto. They are fun to play with. We get into some trouble when we are all together.

I have a larger house here. There are many places to explore. I have a fun play room with tall scratching and climbing posts.

A little girl sometimes chases me, but I have learned to watch for that one.

I can't wait to see my Sarah, and her friends, soon. Until then, I will play with my friends here in Missouri.

Have a happy new year.

How to Entertain a Cat

Entertaining a cat can be a difficult task to accomplish. Hello, I am the feeder/petter/brusher of Zoe (don't worry she said I could write something). Cats are usually picky about what they like to play with. But they tend to like the wierdest things. After much research and data compiling (and scratches) I have made a list of what entertains a cat.

1. A small ball to play with
2. A paper ball tied to the end of some string
3. Feet moving under a blanket
4. Water

Ok the last item may not seem like something that you would see on a favorite cat list, but Zoe just loves water. She doesn't like to swim, but she is intrigued by where the water comes from and where it goes. She can sit for hours playing with the water dripping from the faucet, and loves to jump into the shower after someone gets out. After she finishes playing she is very wet, but she doesn't seem to care. She just loves water. So whenever you need to entertain a cat, just turn on the faucet and watch the cat get crazy.

Confesión De Un Gato

I must confess. I was normal most of my life. I liked to purr, play, scratch, etc. Recently, I have taken a little liking to something strange.

I mean, I am a cat for Gods sake. I should not act this way.

I...I sort of like to, uhm, jump into the shower right after someone uses it. I can't help myself. I am drawn to it. The high I get when my paws hit that warm water...OOOOWWAAH! Oh sorry, I get a little excited sometimes and I don't know how to stop it.

When I hear the sounds of the water being turned off, I get the chills, my tail starts to flutter, and I must move towards the shower. The person in it is towelling off, and I used to wait, but I can't anymore. I just can't wait. I have long fur, so my whole underside gets wet. It's so bad, it's good.

Uhh, I think Sarah is getting into the shower. I can feel the water on my feet...oohhh...

Home

I am back home with the female, Sarah. She has a bed with a fluffy top I like to sleep on. I like this home. It does not have a fireplace, but it does have my television chair. I like the way she holds me and pets me. She is my loving mommy.

Tom's Birthday

As usual, I woke Tom up at 5 am. He did not get up. He gave me a courtesy petting then rolled over and went limp again. 6am wake up meow seemed to work better because he responded and got up. But, instead of playing, he stepped on my tail as he stumbled to the coffee machine. He stopped as he passed me, then said, "Morning Zoe girl, it's my birthday today. Later I'll come home and build a fire for you and we'll hang out." Soon I was left all alone. I sat home all day on December 1st waiting to have him feed, pet, and build a fire for me. He finally got home and fed me some Mixed Grill, mmm, my favorite. I was petted nicely and then he left me, again. What no fire! He promised me the flicker of the flame to entice my cat instincts. Finally, he is back and yes...I think...yes...he is going outside to get wood. I always want to go out with him. He lights the fire and finally I am warm. The fire makes my eyes dance as I watch it twinkle. I love to watch the fire. Happy Birthday Tom, now go fetch another log for the fire.
