Summer Vacation

I am in Houston. It is very warm here. Much warmer than Kansas. I am going to be spending the summer here at my summer house. My feeder Sarah has been telling me that she has a job in Washington D.C with someone called Boeing and that I am going to spend the summer with her parents in Houston. My human toy Tom also has a 'job' but it is California so I cannot go with him for the sumer either.

I have been at my summer house for a week now and I have to say that I am enjoying it very much. There is lots of room to run around and play and it comes with two other cats to play with, Sandy and Nobbs. Nobbs likes to play outside, where I am not allowed, but Sandy is inside most of the time and I can pllay with him, when he's not sleeping. I think that I am going to have fun here. There is this one human, Sarah calls him Dad, that must think I like to be poked because every time he sees me he pokes me. I don't think it will be like this all summer.....................I hope. Well, at least he plays with me after he bugs me. I will miss Sarah and Tom this summer, but I do like my summer house!

Zoe in Houston

Zoe is spending the summer in Houston, Texas with friend cats Sandy and Nobbs. (Assuming Nobbs ever shows up!)

So far the digs are good. Regular food, water and chasing around the house. Mostly, Zoe sleeps.

Today it rained all day and even the birds were hunkered down. A good day for sleeping, Zoe's specialty. Tomorrow, rain/sleep is in the forecast but this weekend the outlook is running amok, chasing string, tormenting birds and being held upside down which is a marginal activity at best.

If you click on the picture you will see it much better. Here, LT, the male, is drinking directly from the tap. Zoe, the girl, knows that this is not the proper method and she would never do such a crude thing. Of course, she couldn't help but say,

"Shouldn't you use a cup or something? You're such a male sometimes"
